A long long time ago someone I met gave me the nickname Shiny. If you were to ask me why I would say it’s because he saw I loved people, was kind and helpful. If I have been in any way shiny it is because I love God and He has worked on me to be like that. However, I am a work in progress and can be un-shiny at times.
He is good and gracious and this work in progress wants to be shiny all the time, so that people can see Him in me, and know just how good and gracious He is.
I am writing this to share some of the things I have been blessed with, a collection of things I believe He has spoken to me directly as I pray and read His Word and also through other people. I hope and pray they are useful to someone out there.
Lovely .

I’ve been called Shiny too but I think it has more to do with my bald head. Good word. As Jimmy Dean says, “Shine on!”

Your story reminds me of one lady that was in our post graduate cycle sometime over decade back. We called her “sunshine” because she was such a lovely people-person. She was never sad and always lighted up everyone’s mood. I guess some people are just like that.
