Jesus Christ, Harry Potter and Aslan


All good stories are reflections of God’s greatest Story!

In a conversation between C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien, Tolkien once said,

“The story of Christ, is simply a truemyth: a myth working on us in the same way as the others, but with this tremendous difference that it really happened…The Pagan stories are God expressing Himself through the minds of poets, using such images as He found there, while Christianity is God expressing Himself through what we call ‘real things.’”

To be very clear at the outset, Harry Potter is not Jesus. But within Harry Potter’s story are reflections; glimpses if you will, of that true and greater story of Jesus’ life. J.K.
