Any Day Will Do

It’s funny how we rush from presents presents presents into fresh start fresh start fresh start. Christmas is over, many people back to work today and the New Year and new resolutions loom. Gyms and fitness trainers are rubbing their hands ‘cos this must be their most lucrative time of year. Chocolate shops take a deep breath of relief as diets kick in before the run up to Valentine’s Day starts. Mums have a brief respite in cooking whilst we eat all the leftovers.

New starts, new leaves, turnarounds are all great and I am glad I don’t have to wait til January the first for mine.

The Eternal’s law is perfect,
    turning lives around.
His words are reliable and true,
    instilling wisdom to open minds.

Psalm 19:7

Every day, every moment, second by second a fresh, clean record. I love the way the Message puts it.

The revelation of God is whole
    and pulls our lives together.
The signposts of God are clear
and point out the right road.

Psalm 19:7 The Message

Pulling our lives together. I need that sometimes, not as often as I used to but more often than I would like. Maybe that should be my New Year resolution – to stick closer to God. But I’m glad i don’t have to wait til Friday to start 🙂

  1. Oh amen to that Jules from this frenetic madness that takes over the season of peace and good will, into the peace that the world cannot give. Revel in it.
